Beginner Plant advice please

Hi Guys!!!

This weekend i will hopefully be getting my first Tropical Tank.

What i want to know is, when can i put Plants in?

Do i have to let the Tank Cycle for a while before adding them? Or put them staright in? I will only be getting about 5 to start with.

It is quite acceptable to plant whilst you are cycling as long as you don't go mad with the ammonia, (like really mad). The settling period gives the plants a chance to put some root out, (assuming they are rooted plants), before the fish come and disturb them.
