Beginer Plants

What plants do you suggest me getting for under 15 dollars? I have about only 15 dollars or maybe less to spend on some plants for my new 55 gal. What plants are good beginers and are low cost?

Java Ferns, Elodea/Egeria, Hornwort, Vallisneria and Amazon Swords all tend to be low-cost and are easy to take care of.

It really depends on what your LFS charges though. One of my LFS charges $2 for a Java Fern, another charges $8.
