Did a big change on my 38 gallon. Switched from gravel to sand...and then I fell in love with my 38 gallon all over again

I love the look of it, I think I might switch my 20 gallon to sand as well.

Here's the before and after pics.

Before...

After...still a bit cloudy

both look fantastic Whiskerz!

The new layout is much brighter though. Have you added any extra lighting??

I actually prefer the before  Sorry :/
But I think the second one is way too bright & glary - whereas the before looks far more natural.

No need to apologize Bloozoo :p everyone has their own opinions :)

I like both! The black gravel did make it look more darker, but I'm sure it's bright now because of it being cloudy.

Once the cloudiness is gone, I'll take another pic to see if it's still bright

I like it both ways too. Would be good to see a new pic once the sand has settled

It will always look brighter than when you had black gravel, because the light reflects better off of a lighter substrate...looks great to me!

Hey, that's a big differene ! and I like it
It's certainly a whole lot clearer and not as bright.

Vey nice Whiskerz!
I like the updated pic with less cloudiness, but they're all great.
I like the flower pot in the right corner.
I've had one in my electric blue crayfish tank, but have since replaced it with a home made cave made of slate.
He was getting too big for the pot.
lol

Thanks all! :D

The flower pot is only in the tank because it's holding down the tubing to my air bubbles :p but I still kinda like it in there.

Thanks again guys :)
