Before And After

LOVE THE TANK IN THE WALL! How is it made? Come on, spill the beans!
Anyway, looks miles more natural and brighter afterwards, even though i'm not a fan of rocks, that does look nice and clean. Will look nice with a bit of algae to methinks!

Neal :good:

here you are :

I might create plans now for when i'm older, i'm only 14 hehe. But hey, give me my due I know how to build a false wall (not a cardboard one that you put infront of doors!), but a plasterboard wall, basically the one inbetween your bathroom and your bedroom! (If your bathroom is upstairs.)
I'm not sure how I would build a stand inside the wall though, as they need strengthening bars that go right across the middle, maybe you could post a guide of yours, as it's not really clear. Do you just have a door on the back to get in the room to do maintenance or something? I suppose it would just be like putting a window in a wall (if you made it out of brick that is).

Hi Neal
Yes it does have a door at the back to get access , originaly it housed the flue for a gas fire .we got rid of the fire as we had GCH, ripped the flue out and thought what could we do with the space . We wasnt in to fish at the time but thought we would try and put a tank in as it was better than the bare brick wall that was there. the tank is sitting on breeze blocks . well thats how we got started with fish we now have 5 tanks and im hopeing for another for my birthday next week :D

Cool, any chance of showing us the "room" behind the fishtank, and the breezeblocks and things that it's standing on.

Neal

Cool, just trying to think of a way I could do it but with using false walls, but don't know if it would be possible, as you need to have supports, like this [/\], hmm i've just worked it out. I had the wrong picture in my head!
