which do you prefer?????

I like the after :). Did you just turn the wood on its side? It looks more like a background now. Nice shoal of barbs too.

But the question is and more importantly, which do you prefer?

Woah! Now thats a proper piece of wood. Looks really good. Fish must be very happy.

Lynz781, it looks like another piece of wood.

yeah, its a 3ft liece of bogwood out of the garage, and yes,i prefer the after pics.now ive got 2 nice pieces of mopani wood spare(the wood in the before pics)

Yeah, I prefer the after pictures as well, I like the wood you've used. I'm using more bogwood now, have a 20g full of it, still want more though.

So what is in the tank altogether? Tiger barbs, severums, delhezi, senegal?

Looking great m8 (told you :p )

i just like a change every now and again ferris.i tryed to make myself like the minimalist look lol.i'm much happeir with the look now :good: thanks for making me think about putting more bogwood in :good:

That wood is amazing, I'm scared to know how much it cost though :D

£45 for the large piece,£18 for the small piece(on the right hand side) and £18 for the bogwood with the 2 x java ferns on.ive owned the big piece for a year and the other 2 pieces for approx 6-7 months.i didnt buy any of them,i swapped them for loads of ocean rock at the lfs.

That is some special wood you got there, its hard to make a tank look bad with that wood in really, unless u add ships n stuff to it, and coloured gravel, apologies to anyone that has ships and coloured gravel.

I like it, but you should add more plants IMO

trouble is,if i add more plants, the severums may eat them,or,the bichirs may dig them up.no,i think i'll keep it as it is.plenty of hiding places, but i can still see the fish.thanks for all the comments so far :good: keep them coming good or bad.

Firsly, the tank look great - much better. I would imagine, it looks stunning for real & the picture doesn't do it justice.

This may sound odd, but all I can see (by the shape of the wood) is a large dead animal in the tank ! The wood on the right looks like a sheeps head & going back to the left is it's body with a leg in the air :) I'm absolutely, not meaning to offend you or the tank in any way - it's just what my eye see in there - but it still looks great !

If it was mine, I'd loose the right hand piece of wood, or change it's position.

Just my 2p's worth :D

yeah lol the piece of wood on the right hand side does look like a dead animals head.im pretty pleased with layout( not 100% though) so keep the comments coming.should i move any of the wood in the tank?????what about adding some mopani wood from the 1st pics?????im not going to add any more plants though.i've spent a fortune on plants over the years.they either go brown,or get nibbled,or get too big.dont worry bikerman03,this is a forum and i want peoples opinions good or bad.im 75% happy with how it looks.
