hey.. nicely done buddy!
that tank looks beautiful.
Don't suppose you could give me some step by step info on your reactor could you please?
Cheers.
Well first off thanks.. it is rather pretty. I hope my ammonia problems stop soon. this is what happens when you get 6 goldfish.. find out they get as big as your head then rush to get them a 55 gallon tank large enough for them to live in before cycling.
As for the reactor. it is still a prototype.
but basily buy:
Aquaclear filter sponge
Gravel Vac
Fountain pump
Take the gravel vac, cut the tube so it has lenght but is not 5 fet long (you can decide the distance) and place it over the output of the submersable fountain pump. then drill a hole somewhere in the gravel vac for the co2 line to enter. then put the co2 line in and stuff the sponge in so it is at the bottem fo the gravel vac. then the rest is common sence.

Start her up. I am currently thinking out a good one that will be more... hardy? I threw that one together in under 10 minutes.
wow thats a big change!
I'm planning my tank also
Just curious, but what are you using as substrate for the plants?
And what is the round leaved plant on the left half?
This is a pretty big tank. What size is it?
The stuff to the left is Moneywort, they don't eat it at all. not even nibble.
the substrate is simple gravel. small enough for goldfish to dig in.
the size is 55 gallons US
