Beer Ad

Funny add alright but there are people in this forum who keep Betta's in jars that size, I think its a disgrace.
 
If you think that is bad, youve obviously never seen the bubblebags on e bay. There like purses with a little clear bubble were it advertises that you can keep a live betta in there and just feed it. That is horrible. :-( .
 
They sound horrific Fiddlesticks, I just dont understand how people who love their fish and looking after them can treat them that way.
I once had a discussion in this forum about this same topic and i was told that they dont need any space, Filter or heater. Maybe im the one misunderstands this practice :dunno:

They need a certain amount of space, IMO at least 2 gallons. They also need a heater unless you live in a warm climate, but they do not need a filter, as long as you keep up with water changes. My 5 gallon divided betta tank doesn't have a filter. It used to have a UGF but I made it bare cause it's easier to clean.
