Beautiful Snake

My wife and I found this little guy when she almost stepped on him at the edge of a lake near Augusta, GA.
I believe it is a Southern Ringneck Snake or (Diadophis punctatus punctatus). He was about 10" long or so.

No, its really only 10 inches! We almost didnt even see it, my wife thought it was a stick until it moved!
