I managed to get some lovely happy snaps today of some of my wonderful Darwin Rednosed Shrimp aka Caridina sp. Gulf1. And lucky for me unlike the Rednosed C. gracilirostris the Darwin species can be bred in fresh water.

I also love their iridescent spots on their tails

Are we going to start seeing any of these wonderful shrimp spreading through the hobby Baccus? You seem to be the only person I know who has access to them, and you collect them wild.

Sadly I don't collect this species locally (if I did it would be at least a 3 day 12hrs of driving a day road trip - 2926km), I got these from a commercial fish/ shrimp/ plant producer in the Northern Territory. I am pretty sure if I did find any rednoses in my area they would be the C.gracilirostris. Mostly I tend to find a local species of glass shrimp and Macrobrachium.......although I have been furthering my local native snail collection of late.
