Beard Algae

I have a problem with what I believe to be hair algae it is bright green and grow like a beard but it mostly grows om my driftwood. What is the best approach of killing this king?

I am afraid to put amanos in my tank because of my gourami

Rosy barbs should eat it.

Another way would be to get a plant that directly competes with the stuff. The often maligned duckweed would be a good choice. As would hornwort.
