ive hatched them several times for fry but im finding they are a sod to get out with being soooooooooo small.
any top tips to make life easier

Are you talking about Baby Brine Shrimp? If so you could use a turkey baster of some sorts to get them out. I've done that before and so have other people I know.

shine a small flashlight in a corner of their container first to make it even easier. They should swim toward the light

I just lift the hatchery out of the tank and pour the contents into a coffee filter that's sitting in a funnel. Rinse through with some tank water to get rid of any salt then refill the hatchery.

LoL! Swim towards the light! This method seems to work IMHO

the best way i have found is shine a light at the bottom of the bottle as whats been said, then leave for about 10 minutes and syphon them out into a pint beer glass. (i put the bottle of BBS on the kitchen work top and the beer glass on the floor) and with a really long piece of plastic pipe (mines about six feet long) so you can see when they start to syphon long before you get a mouth full of water. when the beer glass is full, just put your finger over the end and empty whats left in the pipe down the sink. then i put the beer glass onto the work top into the light. the BBS swim down and after 10 minutes gently tip half of the water out, fill up the beer glass again and repeat this 5 times to get the salt out. i then tip the lot into my fry tanks

edit; i just measured my syphoning tube/pipe. its actually ten and a half feet long!

thanx for all that info, i like the sound of the syphoning into the glass will defo try that.
did try the coffee filter but it keep breaking on me when i was washing the salt off, even when i did it gently

I was having trouble with this also. I'm figuring that the coffee filters people are talking about are not the paper type but rather the fine wire mesh ones for a cafetiere. I'm planning on going and buying one tomorrow after a very messy evening splitting paper coffee filters. Is this the best method? This evening I ended up getting a pair of the missus' old tights and stretching them over a pint glass. This was quite effective too.

I've been using the disposable paper filters for years, you just have to be a little careful with them they are wet paper. I don't buy any special type, the cheapest ones on sale work.

Found a great way of filtering out the baby brine shrimp. Put a muslin square over a bowl and pour away to your heart's content. It is very effective.

We have loads of these lying round the house as they are good for winding babies. You can pick them up for next to nothing at Mothercare and similar places.
