we have BBG eggs! :hyper:

Its so cute, there are loads of them in the shell i put in the tank for them, and the male is guarding them.
Plus, now i can see little black spots inside them which im presuming is the fry to be. I hope to raise at least some.

hopefully you can see the little black spots in them,

p.s. if it comes up with that "click to view full image" thing then click and you should be able to see the spots better

pps, they are in brackish water :)

just a few questions i want to breed my bumble bee gobies they were in brackish
water but i redusced the amount of salt in there as a mimic of the rainy season.
after that i changed to tropical gradualy as you are very limited with
brackish fish. what changes did you do like did you feed them diferent food increase/decrease
the temp of the water i realy want mine to have eggs.
can you help me plz.
thanks

thanks for the comments! the black spots are even bigger and much more noticable now  i dont think i have long to wait.

black molly. Im afraid all i can tell you is that they are in an s/g of 1.005 and at 27 degrees :dunno: mine just seem to show breeding behaviour all the time, and every couple of weeks the females get eggy, spose im just lucky. This is the first one thats going well though :good:

why dont other people send pics to this post of their bumble bee gobies.
good luck once again

:hyper: How cool. Fingers crossed that it all works out. It's looking really good though. Daddy looks so sweet in there tending to his children. Do you know what they're going to eat once they hatch??

Look forward to more pics.

:good:

thanks guys. nice picture black molly ;)

Im hoping to feed them all sorts of bugs and things from lakes and ponds as these guys are very small as fry adn need to eat things like infusoria. Apparently egg yolk works in the short term too actually. After about a week they should be big enough to eat BBS i forgot to get a hatchery at lfs earlier

Theyre hatching now! :hyper: there are 1 or 2 swimming around in the net, but there dont seem to be any more hatching so ive swilled the nest around a bit to simulate the fanning that the male would do. There do seem to be one or two dead ones just floating around though :/ i suppose some dont make it :dunno:

Big congrats Geo, will be quite interesting to see how it goes. Will they be staying in the same tank, with the other adults (in a breeding net?) or will they go into a separate one?

Mike

thanks catfish are cool, they are staying in a breeding net until i think theyre big enough to go into a tank, this will depend on how many hatch and survive obviously.

try to get some pics of the fry plz.
i realy wana see some.
congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is off-topic, but from the forums, the title looks like bbq eggs, and I was thinking "Barbequed fish eggs?"
