I bought one from Ebay, it only cost £7.99 plus postage and works a treat, build quality is a bit cheap but can pump water out of a hose into bucket, very useful for water changes or you attach a filter and the water just goes back into the tank. I tried various pet shops but couldn't find any that sold them.

About the water back into the tank... Isnt the idea of a water change that you replace the water with new? Unless the filter you speak of can somehow filter out nitrates o_O

Yes that is the idea of a water change, however a battery powered gravel cleaner allows you to clean poo etc up without having to do a water change if you use the bag to filter the water :good:

I use a normal syphon for water changes and the battery one for cleaning after feeding when I've overfed

I picked my last one up from Maidenhead aquatics at about £8 or £9 (half price if memory serves)
