battea ate glass

i was cleaning my beta bowls out today when one of my clampon lights went crashing down onto one of my bowls..... the bulb hit teh glass and shatterd and a small pice fell in directly infront of my favrite betta...... the little brat ate it and now im shure hes gonna die! ive been trying so dang hard to get these poor little guys back on there fins and now im to blame for the deth of my favorite one! im shure he ate teh pice of glass..... ilooked around in ther gravel in his bowl and theres no sign of it.... shold i euthinize or let him live a short painful life? also i was wondering if compactflorecents are dangeruos to fish when they break? i think they have like murcury gas inside or somthing like that... just wanna know if it might b a danger to my otehr tanks even tho no glass fell in them.

Thats a tough one. Maybe try to feed it a cooked pea..just a portion of the inside of a cooked frozen pea. it might slick it up enough inside to let it pass through. Isn't that the way it goes sometimes..if it can happen it will. Best of luck on this. I'd give it a day or 2..

alredy did the peathing that was my thought aswell... he dosnt seem distressed at all so maybe he spit it out? i still cant find it tho....

I would guess he spit it out, they tend to taste before they swallow That is pretty scary, though. I sure wouldn't euthanize unless you start to see that he's actually being affected. I would guess it would start ripping him up pretty quick though if he did swallow it, keep us updated...I hope he's ok
