Barrons Natural Aquarium Handbook

I haven't read that book. But, I think any book on aquariums can't be all bad. You'll probably find some useful information in it.

I just picked up an Aquarium USA magazine yesterday and a animal planet book...I'm thinking both should have some good info in it. ;)

I have the Freshwater Aquariums book from Animal Planet... I've found that the suggested stocking scemes in the book go counter to several things I've learned on this website - for example, for a 5 gal - 2 cherry barbs, 2 platies, 3 zebra danios, and 1 corydoras catfish (with a 50% water change once a week); however, I've since learned that danios need LOTS of swimming room, therefore, 5 gal is way too small; corydoras are happier in groups of three or more, and need space because they are active, therefore, the 5 gal is too small....

The author of that book also wrote The Simple Guide to Freshwater Aquariums, which I've also read. In it the smallest tank he discusses is a 27 gal.

I'm curious what other people in this site have to say about those two books by David Boruchowitz.

Well...I'll see what I think of the book once I'm done reading it. I got it home in time last night to acclimmate my female guppy and start setting up my girlfriend's crab tank. Then....off to bed. LOL

I'll let you know though. ;)
