I just bought this replace the filter to replace the one that came with my jewel tank, would you was it ws a bargin?
 
Yeh thats a very good price, they are good filters easy to maintain and reliable.

WOOOOHOOOO! i think im gonna remove the internal filter from my jewal tank now. It takes up too much room!

well its a good price, but sadly no bargain! the plus version sells for £17.00, if you look. but i have seen it for £36.00 :hyper: :hyper: and its gota be better than the juwel item!

I don't like mine that much. Pretty poor IMO, not very good flow, not to keen on the media setup bit either. Only my experience not sure on others experiences, I have the 1000 I think.
 
External filters are fine for larger tanks, no point on them for smaller tanks like this one will be for.

Fish can survive without a filter as well, use of plants as a filter, a pump for a sump/trickle tower though 'tis sort of a filter, oh and just doing lots of water changes.
