Barbs

I've given up on guppys i'm afraid, only a few left, so I will have a 12 gal 14 US gal soon going spare, I was thinking of barbs but I don't no as i have never kept them, is the tank big enough for a small group of them, any info will be well aprreciated, thanks.

Cherry barbs would do good, I think 12 g might be a little too small for tigers.

IMO barbs generally need a larger tank, especially in groups - even the more peaceful varieties are very active and benefit from space. In a 12 gal. I'd stick to something less... rambunctious.
