Barbs With Neons

Hi, I have a school of nine barbs x3 tiger, x3 albino and x3 green. I have had a look on differant charts for compatabiltiy and it seems to be ok, but I would just like to ask you guys if barbs will be ok with neon tetras. How many would be best. I would also like a couple of torpedo barbs. are these ok together.
I have a rena 50 gal tank.

yes i dont see why not, as the barbs in a 6 will uselly stay together and not bully other fish

WHAT WOULD BE A GOOD NUMBER OF NEONS TO HAVE?

As long as you have enough room, a shoal of at least six is good for them, more if you want.
