Does it look like Columnaris?
I'm thinking a 50% water change and Maracyn? after reading the boards i'm reluctant to medicate until i'm sure.

Update...been watching him for a bit. He'll swim in one place level for a while and then slowly his head will move down as if hes searching for food but he's not . He gets almost vertical and then goes back ti being level again.

Well i'm certain it's not ich now...been reading up on the forums and haven't really figured it out yet. Did a 50% water change and I'll see how it goes. any help still would be great.

Any signs of flicking and rubbing.
Do the white patches look fluffy in appearance.

no rubbing or flicking, not really fluffy, where it gets really bad it seems to be making an actual indentation in him. its been 90+ degrees here and the water temp is pretty high now. he's swimming around a bit more normal like but the stuff seems to be worse. I'm noticeing white flecks on a few other fish and i'm now wondering if I have multiple problems. I'll take some time to get some better pics maybe that will help.

If there no flicking and rubbing I would treat it as bacterial.
Bleached out marks on fish can also be columnaris.
