one of my barbs eyes has gone silver looking all over...what is it and how do i get rid of it?

Do you mean cloudy or definately silver.

its definatly silver.....not cloudy...

Check to see if there are any white specs on the eye.

Cataracts a white to greyish fungus on the eye, can also be caused by poor diet, you will need to improve diet, and use a fungus med to clear it up.

actually ive just got a real close look and maybe it does look cloudy....either way theres not white spots?
and i cant see whats wrong with his diet?

What are your water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph, cloudy eye is a symtom of a desease rather than a desease in its self.

I would look for signs of whitespot or velvet, any signs of flicking and rubbing against objects, or laboured breathing, any other signs of desease on the fish, like fluffy patches or being bloated.
Also have you added any new fish to the tank lately.

nope nothing new for ages...he has no other signs, he's eating fine and swimming fine...ages ago he did suffer from a very bad bout of columbris or whatever its called atm i cant remember sorry!, which wasnt down to me i took him in and nursed him back to health...could it be he banged it?

I don't think so, if water quality is good, which yours is it a sign of parasites or bacterial infection, just try abit of melafix for now, also it can be a sign of old age, plus bad diet.

what shall i feed him?
or shall i tell u what i feed him?
ill add melafix

best if you tell me what you feed them, rather than doing a big list.

tetramin flakes, hikari gold pellets, krill pacifica, dapihna, tubifex, glassworms, chopped cockles, chopped mussles, gammarus, occascioanly some frozen spinach and peas

Not the diet then, are they frozen or live or freezedried foods the daphnia, glass worms, tubilex.
