hi, i have a 70g tank, with 3 green tiger barbs and 3 bloodfin tetras in it and was looking to get 2 or 3 more of each. if i got diff types of barb/tetras would they all school as one? and if so what would go nicely with what i have? thanks for suggestions:)

ps. i also 2 red tailed sharks, but one is going in my second tank once it finishes cycling. :)

Red Tailed Black sharks are aggressive and may chase the barbs and tetras.

tiger barbs are quite aggressive and I'm not sure they would shoal with other barbs. BUT if you want a bit of variation - different types of tiger barbs (ie: regular, albino and green) will shoal together (at least in my experience) and a bigger group reduces aggression!

don't really know much about tetras though! :( sorry

it spreads the aggression between the group.

Black skirt tetras are nice fish, Also called Black Widow Tetra at most LFS.

They grow to a nice size too, Around 5 - 6cm.

thanks for the help guys. i went to my LFS this morning right when it opened cuz i couldnt sleep, which turned out to be awesome because there was a line waiting to get in haha. anywho, i bought 2 more bloodfins, and 3 tiger barbs (they were labeled as green, but they look diff than the ones i have already, maybe cuz theyre young?). the tetras shoaled almost instantly, awesomeness! the new barbs seemed to be nervous in their new surroundings tho, so hopefully theyll be enjoying themselves when i get home from work :)
