Good day!,

I have had Bangai Cardinal in my quaranteen tank for 7-8 days already,
he was eating very good, until I had an ammonia and nitrite raise, Nitrite was 0.25
ammonia not much too. I used Seachem Prime to detoxicate it. not sure if it helped,
but Free ammonia i undetectable by the Seachem test and for Nitrite I have API
which still shows 0.25. I know that after useing PRIME u cannot trust tests.
2 days cardinal was quite in the corner, does not eat at all. I did 50% water change
yesterday and 50% today., setup a new Airstone with Spunge Filter.

He is swimming now, no problem but still refuses to eat. Also he is got some brown (blood looking color) spots.
Below are some picture I was manage to make.

Any help? Thanks guys.

Sounds like you've done what you can. Those might be ammonia burns. Bangaii cardinals are rather fragile, so it wouldnt surprise me if a bit of an ammonia spike damaged it. Keep trying to feed and keep your fingers crossed. Wish I had better advice.

is the fish still in quarinten

it might be a bacteral infection if it has a high ammonia and nitrate

odinex has always sorted my problems like that
