Bandit And Lacy

ok, so some of you may remember that bandit built me a lovely nest, totally unprompted, and unaccompanied. so i decided to give him a go.

i decided to use lacy, as she has similar(ish) colours and i think she is stunning!

unfortunately i had a little accident while acclimatising her to the spawning tank. her bag fell over and she got out and they tore each other up a little (but fins only and not TOO bad)

anyway, i got her into the breeding trap and conditioned the pair of them up for several days, then let her out for 1/2 hour, then back into the trap, next day let her out again for 1/2 hour then put her back.

but... the doorbell rang and i had not put the mesh back on top of the trap, and of course after talking to my neighbour i forgot that i hadn't done it, and carried on sorting other things out. several hours later, i went to feed them, and found lacy swimming around next to her trap. i quickly scooped her back into it and then noticed bandit over by his nest, with little white bits in it!

took bandit out today, because there don't seem to be much in the way of babies left in the nest and i didn't want to risk him snacking!
how many babies can you spot?

some babies are better than none Ibble. I think I can see 3 definate and maybe a couple further back but that could just be nothing lol You may have some hiding around somewhere too. I didn't end up with many from Taro and Tien's spawn the other day cos she released so many before he got to her

there are 7 definate in the pic, plus one right at the top of shot i think, and one other, that may just be a reflection.
they are pretty hard to see. will try and put up some zoomed in sections later so its clearer
