One of my bamboo shrimp has shed it's skin.
Should I remove the skin or leave it in? Is this a good thing or do I need to do something to stop it from happening?
The shrimp seem a darker colour than before.

Thanks for your help.

Yep, it's a good thing! It means they're getting enough food. Usually if they're well fed they can shed once a month, if they're getting less food they would shed less frequently.

Once they've shed they are very vulnerable while their new skin is hardening. They'll be a sorta grey colour for a while, then go back to their bright orange

It's up to you if you leave the shell in or not. It will eventually break up and waste away. I left mine in for a few days then took it out.

Oh thats good news then! I'm glad they are getting enough food as I was starting to get slightly worried they might not be.
Only one has shed though, should I be expecting the other one to shed soon then?
I'll just keep doing as I am already then!
