:hyper: I'm so excited! As I type this post, my female Balloon Molly is having fry! I couldn't resist her in the pet store today because she was heavily pregnant, so I bought her and another male. She's currently in the quarentine tank, which I intended to keep the pair of Balloon Mollies to watch for any signs of illness.

:) As the bag was soaking in the water, I saw tiny orange fry cuddled in the corner of the bag. After she was safely in the small tank, she started delivering fry rapidly. I witnessed her deliver two babies and it was amazing! Every fry that comes out, I scoop it it up. There are 11 baby fry total and a bunch of undeloped babies still in the egg sac. This is so exciting to me!

;) (I also posted another post in Tropical Chit Chat!)

Congrats! She may have dropped due to the stress of being caught and brought home. If there are other fish in the tank, get a plastic breeder container and just don't use the dividers. Let this float in the tank with the fry in it. You can feed the fry crushed fish flakes, liqui fry (or something similar), or brine shrimp fry.

:D I was surprised that she had her babies a few hours after I got her. I placed her in a quarentine tank with some breeding grass and a few large pebbles becuase I knew she was very pregnant, but I didn't expect fry that soon! While she was delivering her fry, her "boyfriend", which is another Balloon molly that I got with her (and he looks exactly like her), stood gaurd over his girl and both of them didn't try to eat the fry. It was crazy! Every time I scopped up a newborn fry, another one came out. In 10 seconds, she delivered 5 fry! :hyper:

 There are 19 healthy fry, which are now seperated. I'm going to put them in my 2.5 gallon fry tank that contains baby guppies, swordtail and another Balloon Molly baby!
