well after weeks of thinking my balloon molly was about to drop she finally did last night and we now have 70 fry in a breeding trap

since releasing the mum back into the comunity tank she hasbeen repeatably swimming vertically, nose to the top of tank and tail to the bottom. she stays like it for a few seconds then swims off happy and starts feeding or being hasseled by the mail who wont leave her alone and is already trying to mate with her again

she seems happy enough and is feeding as usual, just wondering if there may be something wrong or if she is just nackered from the birth maybe????

normally because the female has given birth it's known as being weak and has to recover. so, i would try to seperate the female from the male, or adding more females if you tank can support the stocking.

i have 2 females in there including the new mum but the male still seems to be keen on the one thats just given birth, i think i will seperate the male for a few days to give her chanve to recover
