Balloon Mollies

I,ve seen a couple of picture's of them on this forum, I would love to get some, can anybody give me some info on them ie...size, temprement,colours, swimming levels, etc....... and if anyone owns them and has pictures please would you post them.

Hi

I currently have 3, & my LFS in Farbborough Hants, always has them in stock. Cost around £2.00.

Colours - My male is two tone orange striped with the odd patch of black.
One of my females is a white & black marbled effect the others is similar to the male with no black.

They are poor swimmers that seem to bob around although when they want to they can shift it. Size wise about 3-4cm fully grown, breed at the drop of a hat. Rightly or wrongly I leave the babies in the main tank as I dont have the space for never ending molly tanks.

Generally a fun fish to have.

I have 1 balloon molly and she is special i do need to get a male friend to play with they are very nice fish to keep but i haven't had no babies even when i did have 2 males and 2 females???

Are they easy to breed?

I have 2. one I s sliver w/ black oval like spots and the other is gold w/ black spots.

I have one marble coloured male...he is orange with a very interesting pattern of white spots ....they arevery pretty and they like t show it off!
