I have two baby balloon mollies, about 2-3 months old. One has a bulging belly... and I wondered if she could be pregnant? They look (to me anyway) to be male and female, and in the tank other than that are just one adult male balloon molly and a golden loach. The babies have been in this tank since birth, out-surviving their siblings, but I am now wondering whether to take this one baby out of the main tank.

I can post photos tonight. I just thought it was quite young for them to be having babies? They are still so small (about 1.5cm in length).

Any advice would be great.

Hmm, don't quote me on this, but I'm sure when their about 3-4 months old, (or when they are sexually mature)
like able to sex them, them they are old enough,
females have a fan shaped fin near the anal, and the males have a rod-like shape, dunno if you knew that or not, just trying to help :good:
if it's a balloon molly like you said, she may not be pregnant, just starting to get her balloon shape (I've never had them, so I dunno if they start off balloon shaped at birth)
anyways, hope I helped! ^_^
