Please help, i have 2 bala sharks which have always been healthy, but i have noticed twice now, their colours fades, like you can see their red veins like see through and their black bits look greyish
i have noticed this only twice but now i have noticed this, is this normal?
water levels are all fine and i do regular water changes, well once a week.

What size is the tank, the black patches that have faded where are they on the fish, as not familar with this type of fish.

Hi....do they appear healthy? are they eating? unusual behavior? ..and..when do you notice the changes? Fish can change color during the day. Eg...my bosemani rainbows are distinctly demarcated in color in the morning before the light goes on. From that period foreward, the color fades throughout the day. SH

hi
yes they are eating, but they are chasing each other around the tank. done water change today and they seem a wee bit better but still not 100%. i tested all water levels today before i did water change and everything seemed fine. i have a 30 gallon tank

hiya
bala sharks still dont look right, the black bits on their fins are dull and grey looking. please help me, as i dont like treating with meds, but i have no idea what is wrong with them

Is there any trialing mucus attacked to the grey patches, are they flicking and rubbing against objects, with grey bits of slime it can be a bacteria infection or parasite, it's finding out which one it is.
