Can anyone explain why the bala might be doing this to the other. Be patient with my awful camera work :) , but theres a few moments where you can see whats happening pretty good. Heres the video

Sorry no video, do you have plenty of hiding spaces for the fish.

Theres no video but its perfectly normal for bala's to go up and gently nibble at each others sides if this is what they are doing? I believe its how they keep the schooling bond in place and the larger/older fish use it to keep the smaller ones in order.

I have 3 young Bala's and they often do the nibbling thing. The smaller of the 3 even does it to one of the golden Gourami's who doesnt seem to mind at all.

Sort of on topic I witnessed some really odd behaviour the other day.
Suddenly, after feeding one day the 2 larger Bala's started swimming back and forth rubbing against each other. This was done at quite a pace and occasionaly they would stop to have a nibble and then continue. The really odd thing is that my Red Tailed Shark tried to join in!! As soon as he did the Bala's stopped and then started again. The smaller Bala tried to join in but not with a great deal of enthusiasm.
It was fascinating to watch and went on for a good 10 minutes.
