Was staying down in Devon last week and threw some bread out for the birds, however this cheeky badger came over for a feast instead. Was quite happy about having his pic taken - so thought I would share the pics here. Have around 50 pics in total.

:good: Those are brilliant pics. I've heard badgers are really hard to see, because they hide so well, nevermind photograph. That badger is so gorgeous. Was it alone?? Gorgeous.

:D

gorgeous pics!

I want one!!!!!!
Can you keep them as pets?

Neal ;)

nope, they can't be tamed like a dog, and they have very sharp teeth and like to bite, hard.
and seeing as they're victimised by farmers and leaning towards endangered, legally you're probably not allowed to keep them as pets anyway.

however ferrets are in the same family as badgers and weasels, but if you live in california you cant have one cuz its illegal to have ferrets as pets there

Wow lovely piccies. I never realised badgers were so big. We were in Appledore Devon this year saw one badger but unfortunately he didnt make it over the road.

Thanks for all the comments - these are the first badgers I have seen alive myself - hence why I took over 50 piccies.

:)

Wow! Amazing! I haven't seen a badger yet myself, but I have seen some new animals around here lately (stick bug, groundhog, green treefrog, Ill post pics of them soon)

For some reason though recently I have noticed a lot of dead animals on the road :( I have saw 5 dead racoons, 1 dead opossum, and a lot of smushed toads).... I have also picked up a completely flat baby painted turtle off the road, that is actually the reason why Blanding Turtles are endangered :( , but I have recently found a wild Owl pellet (owl barf that still has the rats fur and bones in it, etc...) which means there is an owl that lives in this area!
