My german blue ram was diagnosed with internal parasites about a week ago. I have him in my QT tank and have been giving him a anti-parasite medicated food. He is getting better and has put on weight, but I still have to treat him for 3 more weeks with the medicated food.

Now, a few days ago I noticed he had developed some red marks on his nose and on one gill plate. I'm thinking these might be a bacterial infection. Nothing has been added to the tank for months and ammonia and nitrite are 0ppm. The only other thing I can think of is that he swims into the glass a lot. I'm not sure if he could hurt himself like this, by just swimming into the glass. When I noticed the marks I started giving him a anti-bacterial food along with the anti-parasite food. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong with him?

Bless him.
The problem with parasites they do cause bacterial infectons thats why they always tell you to use a bacerial med as well.
Keep going with both meds.
Good luck.
