Hi People,
Can anyone help me out I am new to tropical fish and have had my tank up and running for 4 weeks, after week one I introduced 6 zebra danios, I then found out they had white spot and treated with methylene blue. White spot has gone and I have now started doing regular water changes approx 15 percent everyday due to high levels of ammonia and nitrite.
Ammonia 1.0
Nitrite 0.50
Nitrate 10
Ph 7.2
Hardness 10
My fish seemed to get slightly upset after two weeks of the medication this is when I decided to start doing the regular water changes. The tank has been cycling for three weeks since the medication and levels above have been like this for approx two weeks with water tests carried out every other day. Is there a way of giving my bacteria a boost to try and combat these levels, it just seems to be taking an age to get any change.
Any advice or reccomended products to help would be fantastic, Thanks for taking the time to read this.
