Bacteria Boosters For New Filter?

Bactuur gel? Has any one herd of it and if so is it any good?

After trying nutrafin cycle, tetra safestart with no measurable results I've decided to give it a go.

I've never tried it, is this one of those gels you spread on the filter media and let it set then introduce it to the tank, if so let us know if it is any good?

I do know though you will get replies saying the best way is the fishless cycle using Ammonia.

...or a donation of mature media from someone else's filter.It is probably the safest, quickest, simplest way to get your filter cycled.

Yes, ive just spread it all of the sponges in my filter, so far after 2 days its brought my ammonia levels down to zero.... so fingers cross
