Don't be an idiot all you're life.

I think the tank is good and has lots of promise, once you get the hang of growing plants well you can start to move into scaping with them, etc. I just like having plants in my tanks it often doesn't matter if they aren't in the right place or whatever, plants just rock IMHO!

Keep it up its a great start and ignore people like 'pimp'

Actually it looks better than any of my lame planting efforts. Guess my bare bottom unplanted tanks with no decos are a really sad excuse for aquariums.

We all start somewhere, I'll bet Amano's first aquarium was less than stellar.

Now, unless there is a totally new meaning to the word "weak" that I don't know about, Backtotropical's tank looks pretty awesome to me. Keep up the good work Backtotropical. Let's keep criticism constructive and appropriate please.

Tank looks great m8! Your rummies look very happy. Sometimes, mine aren't very rummy but I don't know why. Everything else in my tank is happy as larry, laying eggs all over the shop but my rummies are still very timid except at feeding time!

Two mods have already addressed this issue and Pimp has appologized, please don't continue to clutter Backtotropical's thread with comments that do not pertain to the topic of this thread, or I will begin slicing and dicing.

That will look nice once them stem plants bulk out.

Substrate looks very clinical at the moment.
Have you thought about adding some small rocks and gravel around the base of the bog wood. It makes the tank look more natural in my opinion.

Depends on if you like the uniform look of course.

The tank looks great. I've got the same one and it doesn't look as good as that. I wish I'd gone for sand instead of gravel, it looks really good.
