Background

Just popping up to my LFS to get some stuff and was thinking of getting a background.

I have a question (a stuid one at that).

does the back ground go inside the water or outside ( im guessing out side) if so how do you stick it on

Thanks never had a background on any of my tanks

My friend just uses scotch tape (the clear tape) to stick it on. And yes, it goes on the outside.

some people use vegtable oil and smear it on the edges of the background and it bonds to the glass, Yes it goes outside the tank

one of my tanks has it on the inside, adhered to the glass with silicon sealer.
I have the same background on another tank that is on the outside
the one on the inside looks brighter; however nothing with suction pads will stick to it.

i have loads left over from the roll the guy gave me can i do the sides of the tank too

i wouldnt do the sides, thats just another area to view the fish from!!!!

my tank is on an angle so one side is near a wall so cant be viewd from there so i did that side.

backgrounds make such a difference
