I had a black bin bag blue-tacked to the back of my tank buy it fell off and won't stay on now. Can anyone suggest anything I can use for a nice background?
What are those ones you stick on that you see in the lfs like? You know, the ones with pictures of water and rocks etc.
Nothing tacky! My tank has sand, wood, rocks and plants.

One of my tanks has a rocky looking background from the lfs.
I just used double sided tape to stick it on & it looks fine.
a couple of my others just have black card stuck on with double sided.
they're all well planted so you don't really notice the background

Or you could stick the bin bag back on with Vaseline or if you do go with one of the laminated ones from your lfs then Vaseline works for that too

Just tried it with baby oil, works great.

Thanks guys! Not too sure about the oil if it goes rancid but I'll keep it in mind. I might do the double sided tape thing. :good:

Velcro works great for me in the four corners. The stick on ones always end up with bubbles and look terrible. I use a piece of black fabric. Pretty cheap on sale at a craft store.

Mine looks horrid at the moment, was in a rush when I set it up and had to use regular cellotape folded over  I should really get it changed but it's so fiddly down the back of there, I only left about 2 inches!
