OK guys, I'm back on the forums after the 3-5 some odd months of not looking. Since the last time i visited i got rid of 4 of my tanks :(. My 55g marine-gone-, 29g cichlid tank-gone-, my 25g tetra tank-gone-, my 1g betta tank-gone-. All that remains is my goldfish, my first 29g community, and my 20g marine hex. I was at Pet Land in Batavia IL yesterday and saw this awesome 10g set up. It was put together so well! It had medium sized black gravel, 2 huge rock things that were about 3 inches from the back, had 5 or 6 live plant pots in it, and had assorted tetras in it. It looked so wonderful, I may just have to take their design! My brother recently moved his turtle from a 10g tank with a filter, heater, and lamp to a 29g tank. I'm goin to take that tank and make it into a planted community! Now for my question, what should I put in this community? Can bumblebee gobies live in a 10g tank or are they territorial and need space?

Welcome back, long time no see.

For the BBGs, the issue isn't space but the fact that they require brackish water or they will not live more than a couple of months.

Most tetras need a bigger tank than a 10g. I wish I had a longer tank than my 30 for my black neons to do long laps but they do okay in it, barely.

Bumblebees are brackish. Don't assume the freshwater ones being sold are true freshwater and they are at least slightly territorial so I wouldn't do more than a pair in a 10g with heavy planting, rocks, wood, etc.
