Back Again

Hi everyone

Hope you all had a great Xmas and Happy New Year

Back again after a few hectic weeks. Have had our hands full with my elderly Mum and have decided to sell her house and move her somewhere smaller with wardens on site. So as you can imagine it takes alot of time to sort out estate agents and viewings etc.

We've also had an awful time over Xmas and New Year with our babies. They were just at the stage of being ready to go and all of a sudden we started losing babies everyday. We tried everything we could think of but nothing seemed to help and we've probably lost around 20 of them . The only thing we can think of, is that the water board probably added something to the water for that period of time. Things seem to have settled now and the remaining babies/juvies are doing great which is a huge relief.

We were going to do another spawn but decided to wait a while until things had sorted themselves out. We'll give it another couple of weeks and then get everything set up again.

Nice to see so many new faces and you older ones too

Great to see you back, we've missed you and Andy. Hope you find the perfect place for your Mum soon, it must be worrying. And such a shame to hear about the babies - damn the water board! Hoping for lots of luck and happiness for you in the future, you both deserve a run of good luck

I'll try to get on here abit more often when I can but once the house sells it will be all systems go to pack up 80 yrs worth of stuff lol

Tibby.....we have found a lovely little place for sale that has a warden and she really likes it, so fingers crossed.

We've still got around 30+ babies left and they seem to have really perked up with the exception of one or two that I think we may still lose. We have mainly females left and some PK males from the dragon spawn. For some reason we lost mainly males but at least we didn't lose them all. I think we'll do our spawns during the spring/summer from now on.

Brilliant news Netty. You just have the unenviable job of sorting the sale stuff out but you will have a great time packing all her stuff up, no doubt you will find things that everyone had long forgetten!

Lol.....including the psycedelic material left over from the 60s & 70s in the loft. I think we'll have to start now and do abit each week......It'll will be fun rooting through everying but a bit sad too. Plus I'm a bit of a hoarder anyway so it'll be difficult getting rid of stuff that have memories. I'll end up with half of it in my loft lol. But at least she is happy to move which I didn't think she would be.

ooo great!! Sadly Gem is worse for wear at the moment so I got 2 new girls, Pluto is not very impressed them but we'll see. I am a bit worried that Gem is egg bound but she is so sluggish Im not sure if she would cope with Sam or Pluto (to have the eggs removed) but Im equally unsure of her making it with sooo many eggs

I know what you mean. I've got a little girl that is bursting with eggs. I'm planning to spawn her with her brother as they are identical but wanted to wait until things had settled with the other babies first. I'm sure she'll be relieved when the time comes but like you I hope it doesn't affect her too much in the meantime.
