Baby?

I just found a half inch baby cheri barb in my tank! where did he come from??? I have 4 cherry barbs ( 2 red 2 orange). I need all info on breeding. Ex: WHich is female and which is male? Do they lay eggs? How many babies becuase i found a half inch baby out of no where!!!! give me as much info!!!! I never new they were pregnant or anytin!!!! HOW DID A HALF INCH BABY HIDE FOR SO LONG?!?!!? IS THERE MORE???

Sounds like you have two male and two female cherry barbs, here's a short article on breeding them. They are egg layers, they likely managed to lay eggs in a spot where they didn't get eaten, then some of them hatched and at least one of the fry didn't end up as a snack. Congrats!

Males are more brightly colored then a female. Males are also more slender in their body compared to females.

They are egg layers and their fry hatch within 24hours.

The baby is half an inch and i havent ever seen him since yesturday! Apparently the internet says hes around 8 weeks old!

HERE ARE THE PICS OF BABY. the baby is half inch and the adults are 2 inches each.

The baby isnt that big compared to the red one. He is much smaller.

In reality she is so much cuter. I never really like the shape of cherry barbs so i never rly like them. I dont like how they have round bellies. This baby is completely slender with no round belly. I love how she looks and i would get ones just like her that would stay at that size and shape. Too bad I cant.
