Baby Red Tiger Oscar!

Man, this fish are amazing.

I just bought a baby red tiger Oscar, he's about 2 inch long.

Anyways, he's been in the tank peacefully and ate quite a bit of cichlid hikari gold, blood worms, and flakes. Damn, these little things eat a lot.

Anyways, I see him sometimes kinda sitting on the gravel with his back fin. He's not on his side, kinda leaning a bit. Then after a whil,e he swims around happily.

Is this what they mean when "Oscars play dead"?

No its so funny cause They like sleep on there sides and in the morning when you wake up there on there sides on the gravel and you jump cause you think there dead but the get up and wait for a treat. I used to have a pair of them. Until they got ick and one morning I got up and they were like that right next to each other. And I realized they weren't alive. . I think I overdosed on the meds.
