Hi all, I found 3 baby platy swimming around our tank the other day and haven't a clue how to look after them properly. I collected them up and put them in a cheap plastic breeding tank (which was all they had in the shop up the road). One has died during the night and I dont really want to lose the other two. What should I feed them and would they be better in a breeding net?

Any help would be great - thanks in advance. :D

get some baby brine shrimp for them and feed them 4 times a day. until you get that you can grind up some flakes really small ,dust form and feed it to them. they should be fine in the trap. congrates on the fry and enjoy.

Hi thanks for your help!

I've been shopping and got them some food and a breeding net as they were escaping from the tank! They seem quite happy now so fingers crossed.

On closer inspection I think we might be due our first molly babies as well - at least we've got an idea of what to do now.

Thanks again :D

I have a baby platy fry and I have just been feeding it on crushed up flake and crushed up pellet. It seems very happy is growing quickly :)
