BABY PLATY JUST DIED

How sad. My kids' favorite baby platty, "TIGER", just died. He was 6 weeks old and had 3 perfect "tiger stripes". What I also noticed as I "fished" him out was that he had a white bubble under his chin and that his underside was white. This was not the situation before. What happened to our Tiger? Any ideas? Is it an illness? (The other babies are ok)

I have platy fry that have died looking like they have been "shredded" by something...when in fact there was nothing there to do that, in the breeding net, nothing sharp, only in there with fry....unexlained....it is frustrating but is normal for some of the fry to die, even at the age of 6weeks-2 months.

Sorry about the loss of the fish...

The white could a fungus. Do you perform water changes/gravel cleanings? If so, how often? Do you also test the water paremeters, like ammonia, nitrITEs, nitrATEs, etc.? If so, could you please post them? What type of filtration do you have?
