Whilst I was away for a week I came back and found 5 fry in my main tank, now just 4. It was hard to establish who the Mum was. However there are now another 4 or 5 in the tank and these are so cute, pale in colour with black heads so I know who Mum is this time. But the 2 different "lots" are swimming together in like little gangs! Really cute to watch!

i have 6 babies who survived from their mommy...

3 are all white while the other three are with different kind of marble one...

i isolated them from big mollies...

hope they will survive...

how's yours doing...

mine is as big as this already...

l------l

no mine are only a few days old but they are very feisty!

congrats Liz :hyper: Plant heavily if you want to keep them alive.

there are only platies and cories in the tank and they seem to be leaving them well alone. Apart from that and I am demand feeding them so they are not peckish!

That suprises me, the corys won't touch them but its very rare for platies to be good parents and not canabilistic, even if they are been demand fed - platys are always hungry

Maybe you have responsible platy parents!!! I'd love some of them :good:

congrats liz, i have 2 different lots of platy fry too, and like your they each hang in there own groups, and neither of there mothers bothered them when born, looks like we have responible platies for once

i have a baby platie that has been left alone by mummy for over a month so i presume she will make it now

 I think they are mollies not platies! I am only good at bettas!
