I dont know if anyone can help but i am having a crisis with my baby oscars. The Parents have layed several sets of eggs and each time, i retrieve them from the main tank and put them in a breeding tank containing methylene blue The tank hads a timed light and an airpowered sponge filter. The eggs hatch well being fed on Liquifry and then become free swimming and are then weened onto powder food along with the liquifry. The first time, they didn't even make it this far, then after about a week they seem to go very lazy, as if they have no energy and lay on the surface, occasionally kicking and swimming a bit, they then die. This time i have managed to get them to nearly 2 weeks, but now they seem to be doing the same. I have made a new fry tank that supplies from and returns to the sump ofthem main tank.

I know some may not deem this an emergency but i am so stuck on this, and if i can save even a few of them it would be fantastic, any ideas anyone???

Water stats of the tank.
I would ask in the right part of the forum get more help.

Yeah some water stats would help.
From what I understand, that Liquifry food can really foul up the water alot, so alot of water changes are probably needed since you have to feed fry so often.
Have you tryed feeding them some sort of live food by any chance?
Maybe they're just not getting what they need from the liquifry and powder stuff?

Baby brine shrimp. They need live micro food to start them off. The movement of live food plays on their feeding instinct.
