Okay so my oldest dalmation molly gave birth to 7 dalmation molly fry and now they are about an inch long or so. The molly gave birth to another 3 fry but those are still very small. About less than a half inch. Anyways one of the 1 inch babies keeps picking at her underside and the mother will just like float around and the baby will bite her under belly and just push her around the tank. What should I do?

Is there any possibility that the mother is still releasing fry? I have observed that behavior in my Guppies around the time that the females were going to release fry, from males and other females, and, generally, all other fish in the tank. It has always been them trying to snatch anything she might be giving birth to, as a nice little snack.

I was watching her and it didn't look like she was releasing anymore fry. I will continue to watch though, they have seemed to be leaving her alone for now.
