I managed to save 5 baby mollies from my first ever batch as the rest were eaten before i could get a net in the tank :( , and i just wondered how long roughly it would take them to grow large enough not to be eaten by their mum and a male dwarf gourami?

your looking at atleast 2.5months but they do grow fast, feed them on live newly hatched brine

they will eat crushed flake foods but brine shrimp is best, what do u meand u had no luck? whet getting it, hatching it or something else?

hatching, i used a 2 litre bottle upsidedown with a heater at about 28 dergees and an airstone with quite a strong current to keep them moving but got very few living babies

oh one more thing will decapsulated brine shrimp eggs be ok as i bought them a little while back but only used them once as they just made an orange mess of my tank lol but would prefer any advice on live ones

their are different grades of shrimp eggs as their tested, and C grade which are still 80% hatch rates are cheeper than A grade

I too use decapsulated eggs and their just as good, just need to feed that very lightly
