Hello,
I am cycling my new 75 gal tank and bought some mollies and platy's to help cycle it and one of the mollies had babies. I have been able to get 7 of them so far and have put them into their own space within the tank. I am worried because the tank is not cycled yet that they will not beable to survive. I also bought a test kit and these are my results,
PH 8.5-9
Nitrite less than 0.3 mg/l
KH - 11dH
GH - less than 1
Ammonia - 0-.25 mg/l (I think 0 but my boyfriend thinks the colour matches 0.25)

So I guess my questions are, are my results alright for a tank that is being cycled? and if not what should I do? and should I move my baby mollies to my cycled 20 gal tank or would that be too much stress on them?

Thanks again
Michelle

The results look okay. If you're going to keep fish in there, you'll have to especially watch the ammonia and nitrIte so they don't get very high. It will probably be less stressful in the long run on the babies to be moved to the cycled tank. When you move them, try not to take them out of the water if possible. Yogurt containers and similar things work well for this. :)
