I currently have alot of baby Kribs, I know the mother will look after them . But the female looks as though she wants the father outta the area. What do I do? The babies are a week old.

Hi there,

I have for the first time seen my Kribensis fry this morning :hyper: . Kribs are good parents, but sometimes, they will turn on each other, what else do you have in the tank? It is recommended that you have other fish that they can chase away to help them stop turning on each other.

I would separate them, because they can kill each other

Like cjohnston said dither fish are reccommended. Choose a really fast species(such as rosy barbs), armored plecs(from the panaque family), or australian rainbows. Or you could do what I did and have all those species in a large tank.

Congrats on the fry :good:!

Try a divider. Mine get by fine in a 20 long with a few rocks in the middle, & a clay pot at the far end. The female keeps an eye on the fry by the pot, the rocks break the line of sight, giving the male the other end of the tank to retreat to.
