My baby kribs are about 7 weeks old now and growing! Still not coloured up yet but some of them have very defined stripes :) There are about 70 of them in a 60 litre with Mum. What I wanna know is, should I move some of them out into another tank? I am worried about lack of space as they start to get bigger - the size they need to be before I can sell them scares me somewhat, as I can't imagine 70 in one tank! I can move some to my 50 litre whihc houses 10 guppies - good plan or not? And how many? I waterchange once a week religiously. Don't think the community is any good as there is a pair of kribs in there who I suspect are making babies as I speak :p so I don't think the baby kribs would fare too well in there. Only other tank has bettas in, and I won't put them in there!

When My kribs had babies I left them in the tank, only about 20 made it. I think as long as they leave the guppies alone it would be fine to put some int there. I would try to clean the water a bit more, they grow faster if kept cleaner.

I would most definatley move the fry into there own tank. Best is about 120 litres ( 30 gallons) so they have room to grow. OIm surprised if yours arent already stunted. PICS PICS PICS!

How about I move my pair of kribs out of the community.... and move the babies in there? They are as big as small tetras now so they shouldn't get eaten by the other fish. I will have to move Mum in there too, and separate the other pair - one to my guppy tank, one to the tank that the fry are already in. So I guess I could move a few other fish from the community into the fry tank too, to make a bit more room for them in the community - 210 litres. Which fish would you recommend I move? Pleco is obviusly staying, and i doubt I could ever catch the cories again, too many hidey holes for them! Tempted to move the giant danios as they are very boiseterous and would spook the babies, but a 2ft tank isn't very long for them..... though it would only be temporary i guess! Please look at my signature and give me suggestions!

Ok. So danios, gourami and 1 adult krib to the 60 litre. ! adult krib to the 50 with the guppies. And mum and babies into the 210 litre. Sounds good?

Sounds good to me. I would definatley upgrade the 50 to something around 20 gallons ( like 90 litres)

can't upgrade it, it is in a special cabinet under the 210 litre! And got no more room for tanks, so I'm just gonna have to shuffle fish around until all the babies are gone :p

All done! Took me sooo long to catch the giant danios, they are so fast! And then the babies were a lot harder to catch than I thought too! But now they are in my 210 litres, with Mum, a plec, 2 nannacara anomala, 11 tetras and 5 corys. They seem very happy and are busy exploring! Let's hope they start to grow FAST, cos the evictees are not overly pleased at being in a 60 litre :p
